Warranty Policy

Effective date: September 22, 2026

Products sold by Vortex UTV are covered by the manufacturer’s limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the period listed below, measured from your date of purchase. Vortex UTV administers warranty claims on your behalf: contact us and we will handle the process with the manufacturer so you are not passed around. This page describes what is covered, what is not, and how to make a claim.

What the warranty covers

The manufacturer warrants to the original purchaser that, for the period above, the product is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Normal wear and tear is not a defect. Wear items such as gaskets, seals, boots, bearings, bushings, brake rotors, and pads are excluded unless listed separately above.

What voids the warranty

Coverage does not apply to damage or failure caused by:

• misuse, abuse, accident, collision, racing, or commercial use;
• improper installation, including use of improper tools or failure to follow the included instructions;
• alteration or modification of the product, or attachment of unauthorized accessories;
• lack of proper maintenance, including failure to use the specified lubricant in gear cases and portal boxes;
• exposure to harsh weather, road debris, road hazards, or chemicals;
• unauthorized repairs, or a product that has been opened or has a tamper sticker broken or missing.

Category-specific conditions

• Differentials and transmissions: use only approved gear lube and keep the case properly filled. After inspection, you may be asked to pay a replacement fee for damaged internal parts; products found outside coverage can be repaired for a flat fee of $250.
• Portal gear lifts: fill with 80W-90 gear oil only; grease will destroy gears and bearings and voids coverage. Bearings, rotors, seals, and gaskets are excluded. Inspection typically takes 1–2 business days after the parts arrive; out-of-coverage units can be repaired for a flat fee of $250.
• Turn signal kits: not covered for improper installation, unapproved modification, crash or impact damage, or water entering electrical components.
• Some electronics (for example MTX audio, Garmin, Cardo, and Dynojet products) are warranted directly by their manufacturer under that manufacturer’s terms; we will point you to the correct claim process.

Replacement fee schedule

• Rhino axles (excluding boots): replaced free of charge if they fail within 60 days of purchase; a flat $50 replacement fee applies for failures after 60 days and within the first year.
• Rhino 2.0 axles (excluding boots): replaced free of charge within 60 days; a flat $50 fee applies for failures after 60 days and within 18 months.
• X300 / Phoenix axles (excluding boots): replaced for a flat $100 fee for any failure within 3 years, as many times as needed during the warranty period. Damage from running with a torn boot or without grease is not covered.
• Prop shafts: replaced free of charge within 60 days; a flat $75 fee applies for failures after 60 days and within the warranty period.

Proof of purchase and photos of the failure are required in all cases.

How to make a warranty claim

1. Email [email protected] or call (901) 412-9182 with your order number, the product, a description of the failure, and clear photos (or video) of the problem.
2. We will open the claim and give you a claim number and, if the part needs to be inspected, a return shipping address.
3. Ship the part with tracking within 30 days of opening the claim (ask us if you need more time). You are responsible for return shipping and for keeping the tracking number until we confirm receipt.
4. Parts are inspected, usually within 1–2 business days of arrival, and we contact you with the result. Approved claims are fulfilled with a replacement part shipped to you at no charge (or subject to the replacement fee schedule above).

Remedy and limitations

Replacement of the defective product is your sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty. To the extent permitted by law, neither Vortex UTV nor the manufacturer is responsible for incidental, consequential, or special damages, including labor, towing, or loss of use, and all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of the express warranty above. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
